Variable frequency drives (VFDs or inverters) now play an important part in major industry.
Within the last 10 years they have been perfected to control and vary the speed of 3 phase electric motors. They serve many purposes, besides speed control. Homeowners and hobbyist alike, who have lathes or milling machines with a 3 phase motor, usually don't have 3 phase power to operate. Note:  This is for having Teco-Westinghouse re-rate and re-nameplate a standard motor for different environmental conditions (altitude, frequency etc...)  and must be ordered along with a Teco-Westinghouse motor.  Contact Dealers before ordering this to ensure that the modification you are requesting is possible.  Also note that you need to let us know by email (info@dealerselectric.com)  or phone (908 688 1966) what the required modification is.  This will add approximately 10 working days to the delivery of the motor.
